  • हिन्दी की मूल अवधारणा एवं विषय एवं उसके उद्भव को समझना ।
  • हिन्दी साहित्य के विभिन्न पहलुओं को एक पद्धति तक पहुँचने और नई विधा एवं दिशा देने की प्रक्रिया को समझना ।
  • विभिन्न क्षेत्रों और सिद्धांत जैसे शब्दावली और इसके विपरीत में प्रयास करना ।
  • हिंदी साहित्य, उसकी जड़ों, कारण, दृष्टिकोण और पद्धतियों के बारे में जानना ।
  • हिन्दी साहित्य की दार्शनिक पद्धतियों को विस्तार से समझना ।

History

  • Understand background of our religion, customs institutions, administration and so on.
  • Analyse relationship between the past and the present is lively presented in the history.
  • Understand the present existing social, political, religious and economic conditions of the people.

  1. Draw historical maps, charts, diagrams etc.

  • Develop interests in the study of history and activities relating to history. They:

  • The study of history helps to impart moral education.

Political Science

  • To familiarise the students with the basic ideas of political science.
  • To make them thorough in the concepts of political theory.
  • To help them understand and distinguish between basic concepts like political theory, political thought and political philosophy.
  • To help the students understand and relate the concepts and facts with the political realities of the country and different parts of the world.
  • To equip them with the basics of the discipline and help them to learn the basic underpinnings of the subject of Political Science.

Economics

  • Economics subject enables the learners to build up a professional carrier as economists, financial advisors, economics planners and policy makers. It prepares them to cope up with the stress and strain involved in the process of economic development.
  • To understand the basic concepts of:
  1. micro and macroeconomics.
  2. public revenue, public debt, public expenditure, etc.
  3. money, banking & international trade.
  4. different monetary standards, central banking system etc.

  • The course will introduce students to key concepts in the discipline of Sociology.
  • It will provide them broad knowledge about development of sociological thought.

Geography

  • This course will provide students, the basic concepts of Physical & Human Geography.
  • It will help in developing analytical and critical thinking based on the themes and issues of Geography.
  • Students will be able to analyse the problems of present physical as well as cultural world and they will try to find out the possible measures to solve those problems.
  • Students will be able to:
  1. understand applied and interdisciplinary aspects of Geography.

Chemistry

The Importance of chemistry arises because so many other disciplines draw on certain chemical principles and concepts. The purpose of the undergraduate chemistry program at the university and college level is to prepare our students for all those fields where basic knowledge of chemistry is required including academia for careers as professionals in various industries and research institutions.

  • Students will have a firm foundation in the fundamentals and applications of chemical and scientific theories including those in analytical, inorganic, organic and physical chemistry.
  • Students will be able to design and carry out scientific experiments as well as accurately record and analyse the data of such experiments.
  • Students will develop skill in problem solving, critical thinking and analytical reasoning as applied to scientific problems.
  • Students will be able to explore new areas of research in both chemistry and allied fields of science and technology.
  • Students will appreciate the central role of chemistry in our society and use this as a basis for ethical behaviour in issues facing chemists including an understanding of safe handling of chemicals, environmental issues and key issues facing our society in energy, health and medicine.
  • Students will be able to explain why chemistry is an integral activity for addressing social, economic, and environmental problems.
  • Students will be able to function as a member of an interdisciplinary problem-solving team.

Botany

Botany curriculum is designed to equip students with subject domain knowledge and technical skills pertaining to plants in a holistic manner. It aims to train the students in all the areas of plant sciences with a unique combination of core and elective papers with significant interdisciplinary components as per CBCS. Students have exposure to cutting-edge technologies that are currently used in the subject. They are made aware about the social and environmental issues, significance of plants and their relevance to the national economy.

  • A student completing the course is able to understand different branches of Botany such as systematics, evolution, ecology, developmental biology, physiology, biochemistry, plant interactions with microbes and insects, morphology, anatomy, reproduction, genetics and molecular biology of various life-forms.
  • They become competent enough in various analytical and technical skills related to plant sciences.
  • The student completing the course is able to identify various life forms of plants, design and execute experiments related to basic studies on evolution, ecology, developmental biology, physiology, biochemistry, plant interactions with microbes and insects, morphology, anatomy, reproduction, genetics, microbiology, molecular biology, recombinant DNA technology, proteomics and transgenic technology. Students are also familiarized with the use of bioinformatics tools and databases and in the application of statistics to biological data.
  • The student completing the course is capable to perform short research projects using various tools and techniques in plant sciences and develop scientific temperament and research attitude.

Zoology

  • It will enhance the basic knowledge about the different systems of an organism and the clinical study of biomolecules.
  • It will help students to pursue the initial fundamentals required for future projects and higher studies.
  • It will help to inculcate the evolutionary basis of various animals and their development. It will also address the present situation of animal diversity.
  • It will help students to identify the concepts about various Applied sciences and Medical laboratory techniques related to concerned area.
  • It will help to develop the knowledge on taxonomy of insects. Also, the conservation of wild animals to enhance the economy gained by the zoological content present in the environment.
  • All the above POs will lead to a mind that can develop modern technologies to address the problems and to give solution to it.

History

  • Student will learn basic narrative of historical events, chronology, personalities and turning points of the history of the India, World and the State.
  • Build critical ability through competing interpretations and multiple narratives of the past, offer multi-causal explanations of major historical developments based on contextualized analysis of interrelated political, social, economic, cultural and intellectual processes.
  • Evaluation of historical ideas, arguments and points of view, presentation of a summary of a topic in an organized, coherent, and compelling fashion orally or written.
  • Construct original historical arguments based on primary or secondary source material and ability to identify and describe the contours and stakes of conversations among historians within defined historiographical fields. Students will acquire basic historical research skills, including, effective use of libraries, archives, and databases.

  • Prepare the students to understand the working of the Indian constitution and its operation at the central and state level.
